2004: ratification of the 2000 Protocols on Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants.
2012: ratification of the Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons of 1954.
The main ministries in charge of migration affairs:
Ministry for Internal Administration:Together with its subordinate authorities (such as the SEF) it is the main body dealing with migration affairs, including immigration (entry, residence); asylum; return and repatriation.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs: in charge of visa and consular affairs; relations with third countries; diaspora relations.
Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity: in charge of labour migration.
Presidency of the Council of Ministers: High Commission for Migration; in charge of integration policy.
