This infographic looks at cross-border cooperation in an area where local communities are separated by an international border. In the African context, these cross-border communities are numerous and require special attention and cooperation of the concerned States.
This infographic presents cross-border cooperation measures taken by Burkina Faso and Mali in the regions of Hèrèmakono and Koloko. It was developed in cooperation with the authorities of Burkina Faso and Mali and highlights the initiatives of different involved actors.
The aim of this infographic is to inspire similar initiatives in other regions. It is part of a series aiming at sharing knowledge and good practices between actors concerned by migration and development questions. It was funded by the EU and elaborated by a consortium involving ICMPD and FIIAPP, in the framework of the third phase of the Rabat Process Support Project.
